A recent issue I’ve had with Premiere Pro CS5 is that it kept on crashing when I tried to save anything.

Here’s the situation I had:

- I had about 10 sequences open
- All sequences were rendered
- No other adobe applications were open
- The computer had been restarted many times
- I’m using Windows 7 64-bit operating system with enough memory and RAM

I searched around a bit and I found a solution for something else which I thought might work.

In your PPro project folders (where you save the project), go to the “Adobe Premiere Preview files” folder and delete everything in that folder.

I know, if you have lots of changes, and graphics, and edits, etc you will be reluctant to delete these but it’s better you do this than waste half a day like I did in trying to figure out what is going on.

When you have cleared these, start up PPro again and this should have cleared up the issue.

I hope this helps you as much as it did me and no doubt, no 1 solution is suitable for everyone’s situation but it all helps right?

Have a look at some more features of the new Photoshop CS5.

I just saw a video for the new CS5 Adobe Photoshop Content-Aware Fill tool.

Have a look at this quick 5 minute video. I was totally inspired and can see the limitless possibilities! Imagine having the power to take someone out of a picture and clone the background making the picture look original! Imagine being able to take out trees from pictures, or cars, or those random people who appear in the back of the picture in a club! :)
